File Management

Ideally, submitted files should be in JPG format, sRGB color embedded with a resolution of 200-300 PPI at print size.

We recommend files be named in numeric order (Ie: 001,002.003, etc). Do not use special characters when naming your image files. Special characters include the following: ~ ` ^ : & * ( ) | ' " , ? © [ ] < > The file name may not exceed 21 characters.

What file formats are accepted?

Accepted file formats include JPG, JPEG and TIFF. JPG is preferred. Please flatten your Tiff Files. Unless, however, your file contains text layers, in which case we ask you submit a copy in TIFF format so the text position can be adjusted if necessary.

Color Management

It is best to calibrate your monitor to insure consistent results when you receive your prints. Computer monitors are backlit, so you will likely need to reduce the brightness of the monitor. Calibrate at least once a month. Monitor color output shifts over time so this will help you keep the output consistent.

What color profile should I use?

You will need to embed an ICC profile into each file. We suggest you use sRGB working color space. Below, we have provided step by step instructions to properly setup your Color Settings in Photoshop.

1. Open your File in Photoshop
2. In the Menu bar above, go into Edit > Color Settings.
3. Under working spaces, find the RGB File dropdown and select "sRGB IEC61966-2.1"
4. Under Color Management Policies, find the RGB Dropdown and select “Convert to working RGB”.
5. Save.

Does IRIS pro have a downloadable ICC Profile?

We have developed an ICC Profile specifically for previewing your images on your monitor at home. Soft Proofing will allow you to see, on your monitor, what your destination color space will look like in print. Please do not embed the profile in your images. This profile is strictly designed for previewing. Below, are install instructions.

1. Download our Soft-proofing ICC profiles by clicking on this link: . Store the downloaded file in the path specified for your operating system.
2. For Mac users: Macintosh HD\Library\ColorSync\Profiles
3. For PC users: C:\Windows\system32\spool\drivers\color
4. You may need to close Photoshop and re-open for the profiles to appear in the Proof Setup menu. Follow the instruction for your operating system.

Photoshop Setup for Mac/PC Users

1. In Photoshop, go to View > Proof Setup > Custom. This will open a window that will let you select the profile you would like to soft-proof.
2. Under the “Device to Simulate” drop down, select the “f350 08.icc” profile.
3. Click OK.
4. Use the keyboard shortcut of Command+Y to toggle soft proofing on and off.

Lightroom setup for Mac/PC Users

1. In Lightroom, select the develop module at the top right corner of the screen
2. Check the Soft Proof box towards the bottom left above
3. A soft proofing dropdown will generate in the top right corner.
4. Under Profile, select other
5. Under Intent, select perceptual
6. Deselect simulate Ink & Paper
7. Use the keyboard shortcut of “S” to toggle soft proofing on and off.

Shipping

Standard Shipping

Completed orders that have been prepaid or billed to a valid account can be shipped by UPS standard shipping. Shipments totaling $40.00 or more are exempt from UPS shipping fees. All orders under $40.00 will be charged a $7.95 shipping fee. Gallery Wraps and Metal Prints are excluded from shipping discounts. There may be additional charges for out of the way or remote studio locations. Contact us if you have any questions regarding additional fees that may apply.

Drop Shipping

We can Drop Ship directly to your customers. No invoices or identifiers of Iris Pro imaging will be included with the order. An additional handling charge of $10 to your account. Expedited Shipping

We do offer rush services for all orders. Please inquire with an Iris Pro Imaging associate to determine the cost and turnaround time for your rush order. Damaged Shipments. If you should receive a damaged shipment via UPS, please keep the entire package as it was received. Please contact Iris Pro Imaging immediately and we will help you file a claim with UPS.

*Unmounted prints measuring larger than 30” will be shipped in tubes. Due to shipping requirements and the potential for damage, shipping fees for Metal Prints vary depending on size.

Iris Pro Imaging accepts VISA, Mastercard, Discover and American Express. ROES invoices with Iris Pro Imaging will be charged daily. Monthly or bi-weekly accounts are available on an individual basis. Pricing is subject to change without notice. The most current pricing will be found on our website, www.irisproimaging.com, or ROES ordering program.

Sales tax

Iris Pro Imaging is required to collect sales tax on all orders delivered to the state of Kentucky, unless we have been provided with a sales tax exemption certificate. A tax exemption form is available upon request and must be filled prior to billing. Tax is nonrefundable on all orders that have been previously billed.

Material Copyrights

Iris Pro Imaging cannot copy or reproduce any file, image, or other medium that contains a copyright and/or studio name without the written consent of the image’s owner.

Liability

The staff at Iris Pro Imaging takes every precaution to insure that any materials you leave in our possession are returned to you in the same condition as we received them. If there is damage to your order or any error in its fulfillment, please contact our staff so that we may correct the situation in a timely manner. Submitting any film, print, or digital file to Iris Pro Imaging for processing, printing or other handling constitutes an agreement on your part that any damages or loss by our company or agents will only entitle you to replacement with a like amount of said item. Except for such replacement, acceptance of disks, photo cards, and prints is without other warranty or liability. Recovery for any incidental or consequential damages is excluded.

Remakes

If you find there to be errors or damage to your order, please contact us immediately to begin the correction process. By providing the original order number and the desired corrections, we will be able to reprint the files with the original order specifications. If you wish to modify the order from the original specifications, you must submit a new job and pay full price. We reserve the right to refund your money, issue you a credit or redo any order that you may find to be unsatisfactory. You must contact us within 7 days if there is a problem with your order.
